1. The band comes from Ballina which is near Byron Bay, the most easterly point of Australia.
2. We were all born in the same hospital and grew up in the same town.
3. Three of us have been playing in a band together for over 9 years….since we were 12.
4. Benno (guitarist) joined the band just over 2 years ago.
5. The average age of the band members is 21.
6. Ben “Tokyo” Whiting (lead singer) and Billy Donaldson (bass) are cousins whose parents originally came from New Zealand.
7. We eat way too much junk food.
8. Geoff (drummer) loves old cars.
9. The band members love to scare the hell out of each other.
10. When we moved to Melbourne in 2008, we didn’t have anywhere to live so we slept on the floors and couches of friends’ homes for a year.
11. We once “pimped” a tour van complete with DVD screens, only to have it break down before we got to our first show.
12. The members of the band all love older music.
13. We have a tendency to accidentally break things when we’re drunk.
14. Brittle supported Katy Perry during her recent Australian tour.
15. We sweet-talked Katy into lying across our laps for a photo (see photo).
16. The band was originally called “Brittle FX”.
17. We’re all hooked on the show “Entourage”.
18. We love touring and playing to our fans and wish we could do so non-stop for the rest of our lives.
19. The band loves wearing clothing supplied to us by Ben Sherman.
20. Brittle was referred to as “one of the bands to watch in 2009" by Music Week UK & Insider Magazine and as a “buzz band” by The Music Network Magazine in Australia.
