1) "If you were a Kitchen gadget what would you be and why?"
Well, I think I would be a microwave because I seem to lack patience a lot of times. I like to go ahead and get something done. I also think I would be stainless steel... because I like stainless steel kitchen gadgets.

2) "If given the opportunity to travel to the past where would you go and why?"
I think I would have to take a selfish route and go back to a time when I could see my mom. My most vivid memory of her is a day where she was coming to pick me up from kindergarten early to go somewhere. I'm not sure where we were going but I remember how she looked and smelled. I'd like to go back there again once.

3) "What is the weirdest place you've slept on tour?"
The weirdest place I've ever slept on tour is probably the ground of the parking lot outside of a Walmart. My old band and I were on a very DIY tour and didn't have money to stay at a hotel so we parked our van and trailer in a parking lot. There wasn't room for everyone to sleep inside the van so I volunteered to sleep outside in a sleeping back. Not too long after that I was woken up by a police officer telling me to leave.

4) "Has a fan ever attacked you?"
A fan has never really attacked me. For the most part they always mean well and just want to make you happy. A while back on the Mitchel Musso tour a fan did pull me off of the stage. They definitely didn't want to hurt me but in falling into the crowd I did hit my knees on the barricade and had a little trouble walking for the next two days haha.

5) "Have you ever been in love?"
I think I have been in love. It's hard to say for sure though because after my first girlfriend I thought I could never love someone that much again. Then after my next girlfriend I thought the same thing. So hopefully when I finally do meet the right person I'll realize maybe I've never loved someone because I've never felt what I'm feeling then.

6) "What is the weirdest thing you ate as a kid?"
When I was a kid I was a big fan of eating cold hot dogs. Now to me that's not very weird or gross but I've definitely seen some faces react poorly. I just rationalized it by saying at least I'm not eating what my sister is... which was a mayonnaise sandwich. Just mayonnaise. AH!

7) "What kind of car do you have?"
Well I don't really have a car. My dad and I share a blue Toyota but other than it being blue I don't know much about it. He's tried very hard to turn me into a car guy but so far no dice! (Car pun, get it?)

8) "What is the weirdest song you've ever written?"
The weirdest song I've ever written is probably a rap song I wrote about juicy juice. I was maybe 13 and really craving juice which we didn't have and a few hours later the juicy juice rap was born. My dad still loves to embarrass me to this day and play it for anyone and everyone that comes to his house. The day he loses the CD will be a very happy day for me.

9) "How did you learn to play guitar?"
Well, I found a guitar when I was a kid and just sort of picked around on it and figured out what did what. Then I thought I should take lessons and after about two decided it wasn't for me so I just started listening to songs and figuring out how to make the guitar sound like the songs. The advantage now is that I can usually listen to something and play it back to you.

10) "What do you miss most from home while you're on tour?"
I'd say family is 100% the thing I miss the most on tour. I'm very close with my dad and would love to see him more. As far as things go I'd have to say my bed. It's not big or fancy but it's got a nice spot carved out by me in it haha.

11) "If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, which one would it be?"
If I could only watch one movie for the rest of my life it would have to be Forrest Gump. Growing up I probably watched that movie once a week. On tour my band and I constantly insert quotes into conversation.

12) "What is your biggest fear?"
My biggest fear is being alone. I spent too much time alone when I was younger and sort of started being freaked out by it. Now I just annoy everyone and ask them to go places with me. I try and bribe them by including them like if I'm going to get food I'll get them food so they'll come with me. haha

13) "What will you be for Halloween this year?"
Well a few years ago I set a precedent for Halloween greatness with a pretty awesome Pokemon costume. I've been trying each year to step it up and find a better Pokemon costume but it's hard to find them in adult sizes (no idea why). So my goal this year is to be a Pokemon and finally trump my old costume.

14) "What was the best part about growing up in Raleigh?"
The best part about growing up in Raleigh was the people. I had the coolest friends and they definitely shaped the person I am today. I also like how easy it was to get around. We would ride our bikes all day and visit people or go to the mall and try and talk to girls but be too shy and end up leaving on our bikes.

15) "If you could be any marshmallow in Lucky Charms which one would you be and why?"
Well it depends on who's eating the bowl. If it were me eating the cereal then the pots of gold would be the most safe because I always saved them for last. If that were the case I'd be the pot of gold so I could live the longest and try and protect my marshmallow friends from the spoon!

16) "Who would you really love to go on tour with?"
I've always really wanted to go on tour with Taylor Swift because I'm a huge fan but more than that it's for my dad as well. He's told me for the past three years that he thinks we would play really well together and really wants me to play songs with her. Haha. I think he would be very stoked if I were on tour with her. He'd also then get to meet her and be star-struck and probably make some sort of funny face out of awkwardness.

17) "What animal best represents you and why?"
The best representation of me in an animal is probably our dog Harley. I helped raise her so I feel like she's sort of adopted some of my personality. She's always hyper and running around and loves everybody. I feel like I'm the same way. I dig less holes than she does, though.

18) "What's it feel like to be on stage to you?"
There's really nothing like being on stage for me. The feeling is the only reason I'm able to keep doing this no matter how hard it gets. I could be on stage playing for only one person and it would still feel great to me. There's just something amazing that happens when you're pouring your heart out in these songs you've written and that mean the world to you and you catch somebody's eye from the crowd or you see someone's smile. It's like this moment of "yes! Somebody gets it." and you never want to leave that moment.

19) "Who is your biggest musical influence?"
My biggest musical influence is probably Tom Petty. I grew up listening to a lot of his stuff as well as song writer's from a similar time and there's just really something amazing about how he can sum up such complicated things in such simple ways. He always finds the perfect line.

20) "Would you ever date a fan?"
I would absolutely date a fan. I feel like love is such a rare thing you have to always be open to it. You can't really control who the right person for you is. Maybe she's watching you sing a song and smiling or maybe she thinks your music is silly. I'm just looking for the right person, whoever it is.
