Remi Wolf

Remi Wolf has been an artist I have been following for a while. What got me hooked on her was her the crazy clothes with the off the walk lyrics in Remi Wolf – Anthony Kiedis. She is on the way of becoming a major pop star. Steve Owens – Entertainment World

Worst Music Video of the Year

The Lumineers share video for “BIG SHOT,” fourth studio album ‘BRIGHTSIDE’ arrives on 1/14/22

“Big Shot” has to be the worst music video I have seen in years. You have a beautiful “Big Shot” that is destroyed by going into a liquor store and kids stealing stuff and the finale of robbery. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING GUYS?

The Lumineers have announced the release of their second single “BIG SHOT,” featured on their eagerly awaited new album, BRIGHTSIDE. The track is joined by an official music video, streaming now at YouTube. BRIGHTSIDE arrives Friday, January 14, 2022, via Dualtone in the U.S. & Canada and Decca Records for the rest of the world; pre-orders are available now HERE. “We are all big shots in our own story,” says The Lumineers singer-guitarist and co-founder Wesley Schultz, “and, now, we’ve all been humbled over the last 18 months. The video was inspired by the 90s, and the storytelling music videos we grew up watching on MTV.

LAUNDRY DAY makes Warner debut with new single “Connect 5”

Connect 5 on Warner Brothers

Well I am backed up with laundry and need soap, quarters and hit single from Connect 5 – Laundry Day.

LAUNDRY DAY shares its brand new single “Connect 5.” Arriving just one year after the band’s high school graduation and following standout festival performances at Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, and Firefly Music Festival this past summer, the new track marks their official debut on Warner Records.

About the single, the band commented, “‘Connect 5’ was a song that kind of came right in the middle of the album writing process. This had been the longest time we’d ever spent making an album, and we still had a long way to go. It came at a time where we needed to be reminded to rely on each other and support one another. I think this is reflected in the lyrics and production work throughout the song. It feels like every member gave a piece of themselves to the track in order to ‘make this work’.”

All before even graduating from Beacon High School in Manhattan during June 2020, LAUNDRY DAY sold out shows at iconic venues such as The Bowery Ballroom and The Roxy, canvassed the U.S. and Europe on tour – including runs with The 1975 and Clairo – and earned support from the likes of The FADER, NME, Pigeons & Planes, and i-D who raved, “LAUNDRY DAY is reinventing the teen boy band,”as well as HYPEBEAST who named them among Best Music Artists on the Come Up.” They recorded their 2019 album HOMESICK with producer Romil Hemnani [BROCKHAMPTON] at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studios in Malibu. Of the latter, Lyrical Lemonade attested, “HOMESICK illustrates the galvanizing energy of a young group with the prowess and skill, both technical and intuitively, of a bunch of veterans, all without skipping a beat.” In 2021, they reteamed with Romil and BROCKHAMPTON’s Kevin Abstract, the production duo Video Store, to cultivate their next evolution in the studio. Additionally, they welcomed legendary producer Brendan O’Brien [Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers] into the fold to truly shock their vision to life. Listen to “Connect 5” above and stay tuned for more from LAUNDRY DAY coming soon.

A Former Member Of Lynyrd Skynyrd Mark The 44th Anniversary Of The Tragic Plane Crash

ormer Member Of Lynyrd Skynyrd Mark The 44th Anniversary Of The Tragic Plane Crash

While I was a young kid working in radio I remember the day the music died when Ronnie Van Zant died. All you could hear on the radio was Sweet Home Alabama.

Los Angeles, CA – 44 years ago this month, the music world endured one of the greatest tragedies in its history when a Convair CV-240 passenger plane carrying several members of Southern Rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, including founding member and vocalist Ronnie Van Zant, crashed into the woods near Gillsburg, MS, killing 6 including Van Zant. The event has been memorialized in both songs as well as in the hearts and minds of music fans the world over. Most recently, this singularly devastating accident was dramatized on film in a full-length feature Street Survivors: The True Story Of The Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash. Told from the perspective of Skynyrd drummer, Artimus Pyle, who not only survived the crash but helped rescue other members from the wreckage, the movie is a powerful testament to the enduring legacy of Lynyrd Skynyrd and all that the band had to overcome in its incredible career. The accompanying soundtrack to the film converts the inspiring true story into musical form, taking selections of the film’s orchestral score and blending it with original music inspired by Skynyrd with guest appearances by Pyle as well as blues rock legend Pat Travers.

Pyle had this to say on the anniversary of the tragedy: “We all live, and we all die. It’s how you live your life that matters. Ronnie lived a large life in a small amount of time. I am happy to be included in his legacy. Everyone that participated in the making of the film, including director Jared Cohn and the cast, should be applauded. My sons, our band, the APB band and our friends who wrote the movie soundtrack; I think it’s an award-winning effort. Check it out. On October 20, don’t be sad…be happy and revel in Ronnie Van Zant’s Lynyrd Skynyrd music that will live forever! Peace and Love!”
