Nashville’s own Lainey Wilson just gave fans another reason to crank up the volume. One year after the release of her award-winning 2024 album Whirlwind, the reigning queen of modern country has delivered a Deluxe Edition — adding five brand-new songs that take her story to even greater heights.
A Year in the Making
Originally released on August 23, 2024, Whirlwind captured Wilson’s life on the road, her small-town roots, and the grit that’s made her one of country music’s fastest-rising stars. Now, one year later, she’s back with Whirlwind (Deluxe) — a 19-track celebration of where she’s been, where she’s going, and everything in between.
The New Additions
The Deluxe Edition features five fresh tracks, each carrying its own piece of Lainey’s southern soul:
- “Bell Bottoms Up” – A nod to her signature style and Nashville bar of the same name.
- “King Ranch, King George, King James” – A clever play on Texas pride, country royalty, and a little southern gospel influence.
- “Yesterday, All Day, Every Day” – A love story wrapped in melody, inspired by Lainey’s journey with fiancé Devlin “Duck” Hodges.
- “Peace, Love, and Cowboys” – A breezy, feel-good tune with a western wink.
- “Somewhere Over Laredo” – The standout single weaving The Wizard of Oz into a heartfelt country ballad.
More Than Just Bonus Tracks
In Lainey’s own words, Whirlwind (Deluxe) is “a love letter to the road I’ve traveled and the roots I’ll never let go of.” The album feels like a victory lap for an artist who’s earned her spot among Nashville’s finest while keeping her storytelling as grounded as a front-porch conversation.
