Loukeman returns to share two new singles, “Elktorn” and “All I Could Think Of.” The two new songs offer the first taste of a forthcoming body of new music, his follow-up to 2024’s cult favorite Sd-2. In the years since Sd-2’s release, Loukeman has gradually but consistently seen his visibility rise – from his production for the likes of A$AP Rocky and PinkPantheress, recent collaborations with Canadian rising talents Brat Star and Jump Source, and more, to the consistent support and performances alongside Fred Again.., he’s gone from your favorite artist’s favorite artist to your favorite artist’s go-to producer.
The new songs find him picking up where Sd-2 left off, borrowing the sounds of R&B, folk, and pop, molding them into something that is uniquely his own. “All I Could Think Of” stretches a phrase from Canadian singer-songwriter Georgia Harmer through a field of static and beats in various speeds and spurts to evocative effect. “Elktorn” opens with an introduction that suggests a more traditional dancefloor number before veering towards IDM. Together, they showcase the maturation and breadth of Loukeman’s production.
The new songs come ahead of several live dates for Loukeman, including performances at this weekend’s M3F festival in Phoenix, We Love Green festival in Paris in June, and a performance at London’s Old Royal Naval College with Overmono in August.
