Steven, a suicidal high schooler, finds hope when the new kid in town befriends him on the first day of senior year, and changes his life forever.

LOS ANGELES, CA (APRIL 5, 2017) – Garrett Clayton (“Hairspray Live!”), Jordan Doww (“HollyWEIRD”), and Joey Bragg (Disney’s “Liv and Maddie”) lead thecast of talented young Hollywood actors set to star in the feature film “Reach,” a high school dramedy about bullies and the power of friendship, announced co-writer and producer, Maria Capp, who wrote the script along with Johnny James Fiore and Grant Harling, who both also star in the film. “Reach” will shoot this month in Los Angeles.

“When Garrett, Jordan, and Joey all responded to the script and joined the cast I was thrilled beyond belief. I’ve watched these young actors grow over the years and their talent and experience will elevate the script with their honest portrayals. I can’t wait to see these characters come to life and for audiences to see this film!” said Capp.

In “Reach” a socially awkward genius, Steven Turano (Clayton), divulges to a pro-suicide support group that he plans on killing himself. Although his first attempt is botched, he is determined to find a way to escape his suffering. He is constantly picked-on by former childhood friend and school bully, Nick Perkins (Doww), and his widowed father, for whom he harbors a deep resentment for over his mother’s death. However, when Clarence (Fiore), the new quirky kid in school, befriends him, Steven’s plans are sidetracked and he reaches beyond his comfort zone to form stronger relationships with his father, friends and teachers.

Jarret Tarnol (“See You in Valhalla”), will direct, with Autumn Bailey and Charles Box producing along with Capp. Casting by Dea Vise, CSA (“God’s Not Dead 2”, and “Do You Believe?”). Bojesse Christopher, Kevin Sizemore, Johnny James Fiore, Concetta Tomei, Raffaela Capp, Steven Thomas Capp, Grant Harling, Natasha Capp, Brent Tarnol, Michelle Danner, and Chelsea Cook round out the cast.

“Reach” is a window into the private lives of both bullies and their targets, and shows how the power of one small gesture can change the course of one’s life. “Reach” was awarded Best Feature Screenplay in The Hollywood & Vine Film Festival in 2015.

Clayton is represented by Gersh, Industry Entertainment, and Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown; Doww is represented by Clayton Santillo at Scale Management, United Talent Agency, and Stone, Genow, Smelkinson, Christopher & Binder; and Bragg is represented by Ray Moheet at Mainstay Entertainment and David Lederman at Innovative Artists.
