Kennedy was born in Los Angeles Ca of two artist, his mother Regina Kimbell, an award winning Documentary filmmaker/Director and his father Wendell Kimbell better known as “Bernie K” the lead singer of the worlds first all black heavy rock band to be signed by a major label (MCA). Despite his creative genes his parents pushed Kennedy in a different path and he excelled in school and sports and earned a Division 1 College Baseball scholarship. He graduated in Communications with a focus in PR but his true creative calling would soon hit.
Kennedy began his music career as an intern at Warner Records in the PR Dept and would eventually lead him to the A&R dept where he would meet power producer Phonix Beats. At the time Kennedy was also managing a talented singer/songwriter Jesse Scott who Kennedy would introduce to long time Rihanna producer Rudy Maya to form the duo 1Amvrka. 1AMVRKA woud go on to sign a Major Record Deal with Capitol Records, a Publishing Deal with Universal Music Group, brand deal with Five Four Clothing. The duo’s first single would reach number 5 on the Global Pop Spotify Charts.
In 2018 Kennedy started an Indy Label called “Fanklub” with Super Producer “Phonix Beats’ ( 1 Billion streams/J cole, No Role Modelz) and assisted in executing Phonix’s agreements on “D Smoke” single “The Rapture”, “OG Parker ft Chris Brown” (Rain Down). He manages Tay Walker who was an original “Internet” band member and has worked with Syd, Steve Lacy, Chance The Rapper and Mac Miller. He also manages Dennis Lorenzo top 10 American Idol 2018 and is founder/creator of “The Aux-In Experience” where he teams up with Grammy Award winning producers (Blu2th, Yonatan, Big Duke, Dj Battlecat, Dj Khalil, Ill mind, Mike n Keys, Tim Kelley, Wallace Lane…) to present their catalogue and new material to the world. Kennedy’s goal is to show the world real artists with real stories.
