Puerto Rican artist RaiNao releases her new single “GRIS,” a restrained, rumba inspired track that explores a love that never fully came to life. Set in a hazy, in-between space, the song carries a quiet sense of longing. Its world is tactile and atmospheric: salt in the air, sand-like textures, dusk light, and a muted gray palette. “GRIS” captures the feeling of almost where desire, absence, and memory overlap.
Written and produced by RaiNao alongside production by Tainy, Koji Jose, and Wiso Rivera, the track blends subtle Caribbean rhythms with an understated, immersive sound and continues to define her introspective, sensory-driven approach.
The song is accompanied by a short film, “oídos que ven GRIS,” directed by Kemel Jamis. Out May 9th, the film is conceived as a guided meditation, inviting listeners deeper into the emotional and sensory universe of the record, designed to be experienced with both eyes open or closed. Through a layered sound design of narration and ambient frequencies, it encourages the listener to engage imagination and memory as active tools. Balancing the nostalgia of Caribbean upbringing with a sense of emotional clarity and gratitude, the film becomes both an extension of the song and a reflective exercise.
