In a dazzling Grammy Awards weekend kick-off celebration, Morrison Hotel Gallery and Stand Together Music hosted an exclusive industry event at the Sunset Marquis on Thursday, February 1st. The jam-packed party featured live performances by Grammy-nominated artists Larkin Poe, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, and a dynamic DJ set by The Muses.
Adding to the allure of the night was the presence of a of A-list celebrities, including the legendary Darryl McDaniels, Killer Mike, Priscilla Presley, Norman Reedus, Nile Rodgers, Chance the Rapper, Brady Blade, Marcus King, Julian Lennon, Elijah Blue Allman (Cher’s son) Indio Downey (Robert Downey jr son), Grace Bowers, Michelle Branch, and many more. Attendees were transported into Rock’s legendary world as they immersed themselves in his captivating images of music legends such as David Bowie, Queen, Lou Reed, Debbie Harry, Iggy Pop, Lenny Kravitz, Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey, and more. Original signed prints from Rock’s extensive collection were made available for purchase for the first time since his passing.
Timothy White of Morrison Hotel Gallery, kicked the night off and introduced Mick’s widow Pati Rock, who gave a short and touching speech to her late husband. Holding true to the Mick Rock mystique the night was drenched in rock n roll, as the rain fell from the sky. Performances by Larkin Poe, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown were nothing short of magic.
