To kick off 2024 GRAMMY Week. last night The Hip Hop Museum hosted an intimate live conversation event from 7-11pm at Hip Hop Til Infinity on 6400 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angles, with DJ D-Nice and MSNBC’s Ari Melber.

D-Nice and Ari were in conversation about the significance of financial literacy to support communities as an empowerment tool, and to bridge the worlds of music, entrepreneurship, and finance. In partnership with 300 Entertainment and JP Morgan Chase, this private, blue-carpet event started with a celebratory cocktail reception followed by the conversation, followed by a private dinner for special invited guests from the West coast’s Hip Hop community. The venue features a special traveling exhibition space for The Hip Hop Museum’s West coast presence during Grammys Week as part of Mass Appeal’s “Hip Hop to Infinity” immersive experience.

Attendees listed to D-Nice’s perspective on his musical journey from rapper and producer to an acclaimed DJ, and how his musical tastes have shaped his unique musical identity. They also learned firsthand about the challenges of being a Black artist with an array of musical preferences and how he overcame bias to become a global sensation. Gain insights into the financial aspects of D-Nice’s rise to stardom, and his journey to achieving global recognition and the impact it has had on his career and personal growth. And the critical, strategic collaborations and partnerships that he’s made that have contributed to his rising profile.
The evening ended with a walk through of the exhibit, music and desserts.
