Showcasing his trademark passionate vocals and sharp lyricism, Wild At Heart finds Diamond in a deeply reflective, creatively charged place. The songs are wrapped in urgent yet stripped-back arrangements, emphasizing the emotional clarity and intimacy that defined his work with Rubin.
To mark the release, Diamond also premiered the official video for standout track “You’re Getting To Me,” directed by acclaimed filmmaker Tim Mattia (The 1975, The Killers). Starring Jemima Kirke (HBO’s Girls) and Cameron Cowperthwaite (Amazon Prime’s Fallout), the cinematic piece delivers a layered, emotionally rich narrative to one of the album’s most touching songs.
“Neil’s music really resonates with people who want to understand the complexities of love and relationships. Working with Tim and Jemima to explore that was such a joy—we really went for it, and I think we created something special says Cowperthwaite.
“It was such an honor to step into the world Neil and Rick crafted with this song. As soon as I heard it, I thought of Cameron, who I’d worked with before, and how amazing he and Jemima would be on screen together. I reached out to her directly on Instagram, and a few weeks later, we were filming in upstate New York. It was a magical couple of days, and I think we made something truly special,” adds Mattia.
